Vacancies for Belper Leisure Centre 

Leisure Team Member- Level 2 Apprentice 

Salary: Minimum of £10.50 per hour 
 
Full Time - 20 month programme including end point assessment 
 
Recruitment and Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis 
 
We are recruiting for an Apprentice Leisure Team Member to work as part of our already enthusiastic, hardworking, and friendly team at Trilogy Active. 
 
The key role of a Leisure Team Member is to support, enhance and deliver the day-to-day operations and services of a leisure / fitness facility. 
 
Working as part of a team, it is the responsibility of the leisure team member to undertake a range of operational duties such as assisting with the opening and closing of the facility, undertaking routine maintenance of equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the environment. Alongside these operational functions they ensure programmed activities and services are available for customers. They act as a Lifeguard, Swimming Teacher, Gym Instructor and Group Activity Leader. In a typical working day, they may perform all of these roles in one shift, for example: open or close the facility, welcome customers, deliver a gym induction, run a group exercise session, teach a swimming lesson, clean the facility, walk the gym floor, prepare the sports hall for a sports activity (for example badminton) and deliver the session. 
 
Apprenticeship Duration - 17 months learning - 20 months including the end point assessment. 
 
Qualifications Award in Lifeguarding 
Certificate in Teaching Swimming 
Certificate in Gym Instructing 
Certificate in First Aid 
 
L2 Qualification also includes the development of knowledge skills and behaviours in a range of areas including: 
o Perform the duties of a lifeguard. 
o Perform all the duties of a gym instructor. 
o Perform all the duties of a swimming teacher. 
o Plan activity sessions 
o Key legal and regulatory requirements 
o Problem solving 
o Teamwork

SWIMMING TEACHERS 

Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour 
 
Casual Positions

We are currently looking to recruit swim instructors to work within our swim programme. 
 
Candidates must be fully qualified to Level 2 ASA/STA. Swim lessons will take place Monday to Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. 
 
Previous experience is preferable in working with both children and adults in a group and 1 to 1 situation. 
 
The ability to foster excellent working relationships with customers and colleagues is essential in this post 
 
The Post is subject to an Enhanced Check endorsed by the Disclosure & Barring Service. The check is being made under Section 7(1) of the Protection of Children Act 1999.

GROUP EXERCISE CLASS INSTRUCTORS 

Rate of Pay: Dependent on class

We are currently looking to recruit fitness class instructors to deliver classes within our Class Timetable. 
 
We offer a range of classes, including (Spin, Yoga, Pilates, HITT, Body Conditioning, various dance classes) 
You must be able to deliver effective classes in an encouraging manner to a range of customers of varying abilities and a relevant qualification to teach ETM, Aerobics, dance classes. 
 
A flexible approach to working is essential to cover for sickness and holidays.
