At Belper Leisure centre we have the facilities to offer functions and meetings with bar and cafe facilities on site we are can cater for events with hot and cold buffets.

We are pleased to confirm that Belper leisure can open in the revised Tier 3, therefore we will be opening as previously planned on Thursday 3rd December 2020.
Under Tier 3 some of the facilities within the Centre will be restricted or unable to return immediately.
Palms Health and Fitness
The Fitness Suite will be open and Gym sessions can be booked as per pre lockdown.
Additionally, a locker room will now be provided with in the Palms for you to be able to leave your belongings. The Government and UK Active advice remains that customers come ready to exercise, therefore changing and showering facilities will remain closed
The Sunbed will now be available to book via Reception
The Therapy chair will now be available to book via Palms staff
Revised Tier 3 Restrictions
Group exercises classes including Fit Aqua are unable to go ahead
The Sauna and Steam Room are not allowed to be open
We would like to assure you that we are ready to restart our exercise classes and open our Health Suite (Sauna, Steam Room and Spa Pool) as soon as the Government allow.
The swimming pool will be open for Adult and Public Swim and sessions can be booked as per pre lockdown
Splash Academy Swimming Lessons will start back on the week commencing 7th December and lessons will continue as pre lockdown. Further information will be available next week
Dry side Activities
Badminton, Squash and Table Tennis can take place but only with people from the same household or support bubble
3G pitch will be open as per pre lock down, we are awaiting further advice from the Football Association regarding spectators
All facilities within the Centre will still need to be pre booked as per pre lock down.
Online bookings – our online system for Gym and Adult Swim sessions will be available from Monday 30th November
Manual bookings – We will be opening our telephone lines on Wednesday 2nd December between 8:30am and 3:30pm to take bookings for Public Swim sessions and all other activities.
Membership enquiries – A Palms Health and Fitness membership advisor will also be available on the phonelines Wednesday 2nd December, between 10.00am-12.00pm.
We are still receiving updated information from governing bodies and will update information on this site in accordance with information received.
We look forward to the Governments review of the Tier System on the 16th December and hope that the restrictions will be eased at this time.
Further to the recent announcement regarding a second lockdown we are disappointed to say that the Leisure Centre will close at 10.00pm on Wednesday 4th November 2020.
We intend to re-open Thursday 03th December (subject to any changes made by UK Government).
The Centre will be open as normal up until we close on Wednesday 4th, all activities (unless you have been contacted otherwise) will be undertaken as normal.
Palms Health and Fitness Memberships
Direct Debit Memberships
All active members will be frozen from 05th November until we re-open in December, no fees will be taken for the month of December.
All annual memberships will automatically be frozen from Thursday 5th November 2020 until we re-open in December. Your membership will be extended to account for the days that we are closed.
Splash Academy Wallet Payments
All Wallet payments will be frozen from Thursday 05th November and will resume when we re-open in December. Your Wallet account will be amended for any pre-paid lessons.
Club bookings (3G Pitch, Pool and Dry side)
Further information regarding these areas will be released prior to us closing on Wednesday 04th November 2020.

Due to recent government updates we can now only take a booking for the above activities from members of the same household or people within a support bubble together.

Palms Class Timetable
Starting from 12/10/20 we are introducing new classes to our class time table. Please see below.
Starting from 12/10/20 we are extending the length of our existing Public Swims, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening and Adult Swim on Saturday morning.
Latest government Covid-19 advice wearing of face masks
To come into effect from Monday 28th September 2020
All customers to wear a mask in communal area of the Centre.
You can remove your mask at the point of reaching your pre-booked activity area (gym/pool/workout class/activity hall/sports hall/3G pitch/courts)

Further to the Governments announcement and guidelines yesterday, please see below the update from Sport England:
While social gatherings of more than six people will be banned in England from 14 September, the government’s confirmed that organised sports and activities that have been through return to play protocols can continue, as can organised outdoor sports and physical activity events such as parkrun, which is due to return next month.
