TRILOGY SOCIAL IMPACT

Trilogy Active is proud of its significant social impact across our communities. Our commitment to Inspiring Active Lifestyles is as resolute as ever and we continue to innovate and expand our service for our customers. We continue to initiate and develop partnerships with Northamptonshire Public Health, Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Northampton General Practice Alliance and others to further expand our social impact and collaborate for the benefit of the Health & Wellbeing of our communities.  Our latest social Impact report undertaken by the Institute for Social Innovation & Impact at the University of Northampton demonstrates over £3.5 million of economic benefit to residents of Northampton between February 2017 and January 2018. We can say with confidence that the financial value continues to grow.

SOCIAL IMPACT REPORT

Did You Know?

All our profits are reinvested! Trilogy Active is a registered charity and all profits are reinvested into our facilities and services for the benefit of Northampton residents.

Trilogy Active was formed in 2011 and was supported with a management fee from Northampton Borough Council of £1.25 million per year. Through careful management we reduced this support to £0 within 5 years therefore saving £1.25 million per year for NBC to support Northampton residents.

In 2018 an independent report produced by the Institute for Social Innovation and Impact (University of Northampton) demonstrated that Trilogy Active contributes in excess of £3.5million economic benefit to the residents of Northampton, through value for money services, innovative diversionary programmes and improving the health of the participants in sport & recreation. These benefits include savings in healthcare costs, social care costs, employment and social security benefits and the criminal justice service.

Our Health & Wellbeing Development Team has been recognised at a national level, twice winning national awards in 2014 and 2018 for their excellent standard of work with communities across Northampton.

We are one of the lead social enterprise organisations which worked together to secure Northampton as a Social Enterprise Place. Registered Social Enterprise Places are a collection of businesses, charities, consumers and budding social entrepreneurs, working together to grow their social enterprise communities. They aim to promote, raise awareness, and build the markets for social enterprise at a local and national level.

In 2019 we helped save a local nursery from shutting by providing them with a home in one of our leisure centres and helping them to access funding to bring the space up to Ofsted requirements.

We provide our playing pitches for free to local primary schools to hold their sports day events.

We have a number of apprentices and help support them into work

Since 2009 we have delivered an annual Sports Awards event which recognises the rich sporting talent in Northampton as well as celebrating team and individual successes and acknowledging the work of coaches and volunteers.

We are represented on numerous networks to support Northampton residents including the Northampton Health and Wellbeing Forum, Northamptonshire Federation of Disability Sport and a number of Parks Management Committees.

In 2021/22 we supported volunteers to deliver 5007 hours of volunteering which supported the delivered numerous activity programmes across our facilities and out in the heart of our communities.
